Nichol Inspired!
I just posted last night that I love Nichols work and was about to put together a page kit when the pictures struck me as a perfect selection/size to use for scraplifting one of her sketches. Its one of her year in review pages, the may one. I used layering, punches, my new studio calico kit with the exclusive crate paper in it. Letter stickers are Octover Afternoon, label stickers are October Afternoon and the little date label is Studio Calico. I also used one of the butterflies from yesterdays post. I tried out my typewriter on the little tab sticking out the side of the page and my typewriter was less than helpful! I will need to go back over it with a fine tip black pen.

stamping
So I have recently fallen in love with Nichol Magouirks style and watch her videos the minute she posts a new one (one a week isnt enough!). She uses a lot of stamping in her scrapbooking and I love the look of it. She seems to use minimal embellishments except for stamping, pattern papers, and label stickers. LOVE the look of this. She may have inspired many new stamp purchases recently...... woops!
So tonight i decided to sit down and play a little with some of these new stamps. The butterflies are a total copy cat move of hers for studio calico and love them.

December Daily
I have been quietly working away at my December daily album and it is almost complete. I ran out of adhesive.... I know, how could I??? I did order some last week but unfortunatly it wont be here till Saturday so until then I get to stare at my unfinished book. I thought I would give you a sneak at what it is looking like though. Im thinking when I am done another video will be called for so that I am not posting a milliion pictures.
I also wanted to note that I got a Canon selphy 4x6 printer especially for this project and let me just say..... one of my best ideas ever! I probably could have stayed up on the journaling and done a batch print every week or two and then put the pictures in the book but being able to print pictures right away and work on the album really helped me get it done. Love this little printer.

Teacher gift
Yes I am alive.... its not that i havent been crafty, Ive just been lazy about uploading pictures and posting to the blog. I have four teachers to make gifts for this year and didnt want to spend a lot of money. I bought these 6x6 tiles at lowes for about 70 cents each and the little stands at Craft Warehouse 40% off of $6 each. Not bad for a gift.
I love how it turned out and I am trying not to stress about the stand being a little too big for the tile..... trying.....
